Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department Ocean Outfalls Program

An $3 Billion Ocean Outfalls Program mandated by State of Florida Legislature for Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department (WASD) requiring a reduction in nutrient discharges by 2018, cease using the outfalls by 2025 and reuse 60 percent of the wastewater flows by 2025.  The program involves upgrading all the three treatment plants.
