MIA North Baggage Handling System

This project entailed engineering and installation of an Automated Gate Delivery BHS with TSA mandated in-line baggage screening.  The $220 million BHS consists of over ten miles of conveyors and has a capacity to handle 6,400 bags per hour and has 17 claim devices.  The system required for an efficient airline hub operation is one of the most complex systems ever installed on any US airport.
