Cost Estimator
Job Function:
As part of a team of project controls staff, prepare construction cost estimates ranging from conceptual to detailed estimates.
Job Description:
Work encompasses reviewing project scopes, preparing a basis of estimate report, developing a construction estimate, contacting suppliers and subcontractors. Depending on the level of information estimates will be parametric using recent bids, similar projects or historical date. For detailed estimates it is expected that the estimate will utilize construction crews, production rates and material quotes.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of estimating experience in mid-large scale construction or industrial projects. Airport, transportation or water/wastewater experience is preferred but not required.
Other Requirements:
Working knowledge of SAGE Timberline, HCSS or other estimating software and a BS in engineering, construction management or other technical fields is preferred. Looking for candidates with an open mind, a good attitude and the ability to work in a team environment. Work will take place primarily in a program office with weekly visits to the construction site as required. Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.A.
